There are many "stories" and "tales" of how many yards someone once rushed for in an Oklahoma High School football game. With El Reno's Malachi Nicholson going for 516 on Friday night, I've had several people reach out to me wanting to verify this as a record. I'm going to give you some of the numbers I have in my data and if there is other information out there, hopefully someone will let me know. I also feel the need to break this out into 11-man and 8-man record sooooooo here we go...

- 613 yards : Blake Stafford (Depew) on October 25, 2019 in 102-55 win over Wesleyan (30 carries and 11 TD)
- 540 yards : Mark Downing (White Oak-C) 2002 (6 TD)
- 514 yards : Kyler Thornburg (Alex-B) 2014 (42 carries and 7 TD) - STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
- 481 yards : Jason Proctor (Grandfield) 1997
